Bishop Eddie Long!!! 30 More Lawsuits!!!

*Bossip Exclusive* Bishop Eddie Long Stepping Down From The Pulpit After Sunday Sermone

Bishop Eddie Long’s problems are continuing to mount (pun intended)! While so far the number of plaintiffs who’ve filed civil complaints against New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and it’s leader currently stands at three, BOSSIP sources tell us that number is rising and there’s only one logical thing for Bishop Eddie to do.

BOSSIP has learned from a well-placed source within the Church that AT LEAST 30 young men have contacted BJ Bernstein, the lawyer who filed the civil suit on behalf of Anthony Flagg, Maurice Robinson and Jamal Parris, and both Long and the Church are fearful more are coming.
Our source also tells us that Long had initially planned to step down from the Church today, however, with plans to address the congregation in this Sunday’s sermon it’s likely that he will announce his decision to take a reprieve from his duties when he is at the pulpit on Sunday.
An additional source familiar with Long and his practices at New Birth tells us that it’s a definite possibility that there could be at least that many plaintiffs, since Bishop Long selects new “Spiritual Sons” regularly and has been doing so for years!

SMH. 30 man class action lawsuit — here we come!

Think maybe they should take “Missionary” out of the name of the church now?

Scholarship Money and BLACK YOUTH!!!

We ae all more than just athletes. A lot of times as young black youth we get lost in the idea that we make great athletes and nothing more. When we think SCHOLARSHIP  and BLACK we think sports however we as parents can stop this mental infection from manifesting within our youth by parenting the youth that GOD give us DIVINE rights over.
Ok we all know I mentour a lot of troubled youth however it is great to be able to talk about a kid... a child that is not trouble and let them shine since the light seem to only be on our YOUNG BLACK YOUTH when they do something wrong on playing sports. Robert Brown (Gerber Baby) is one of those youth. His parents (Nyaunawi Yekpewa Brown and David Brown) work hard to extend him the freedom of choice, be smart enough to stand out without a ball in his hand. Than pic up a ball and choice to put it done and pic up a ruler and a protracter.
Scholarships MONEY! Ok, on a positive note my BEST FRIEND's son is up for a scholarship from Gerber and just about got it but it may be your vote that her son and family needs! Please help me do my part as a friend and click on link below and vote for her son. FEEL FREE TO POST ON YOUR PAGE TO OTHERS!

Arnold Harrison II Two time Super Bowl Champion

All trainers have a client that they feel very happy or accomplished when it comes to what they got done in their training period. With Arnold Harrison II, as a trainer I feel I learned a lot about work ethics. With Arnold being the standard for all of my future NFL clients, I decided to mentour more younger athletes so they would be the new standard for athletes to come. Thanks a million Arnold Harrsion II. The true definition of an athlete.

"Georgia New Texting Law" WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW!

July 1, 2010 Georgia’s new law entitled “Caleb Sorohan Act for Saving Lives by Preventing Texting While Driv-ing” went in effect. Caleb Sorohan was an 18 year old college freshman when he was killed last year in a head-on collision because he was texting while driving. Since his death, his family has urged state law-makers to pass the texting ban.

Under this new law, anyone who text while driving may be fine $150 and have 1 point added to their driver’s history. O.C.G.A. §40-5-57(c)(1)(A). If you are 18 years or older, the new driving law states “No person shall operate a motor vehicle on any public road or highway of this state while using a wireless telecommuni-cations device to write, send, or read any text based communication, including but not limited to a text message, instant mes-sage, electronic mail, or Internet data." O.C.G.A §40-6-241.1(B).

To Be Or Not To Be?

That Is the Question: Can it be Enforced?

Unlike the other new law against distracted driving which prohibits anyone younger than 18 years old from using cell phones at all while driving a motor vehicle. The Caleb Sorohan Act allows adult drivers to speak on a cell phone so long as there is no texting. So the question becomes how effectively can this law be en-forced?

First, the Officer has to determine if the driver is an adult or minor. Once it is determined that a driver is 18 years or older. The Officer must decipher whether you were texting while driving (TWD) or simply talking on your cell phone. How would an officer be able to distinguish? Even if the officer claims he witnessed the driver texting. How does he prove it?

The driver does not have to give the officer his cell phone. Only if the driver voluntarily gives his cell phone does the officer have an opportunity to search & verify texting.

Practically speaking, the officer may become irritated by the driver’s reluctance to give up the cell phone which may result in an arrest. But if the TWD case goes to court there are two readily available defenses: 1) the classic, “I didn’t do it. The officer made a mistake” or 2) the distinction, “I wasn’t texting I was talking and that is not against the law.” It is the State’s burden to prove the case against you beyond a reasonable doubt. Sure, the State can subpoena cell phone records. But, it is unlikely the State would use up so much time & resources to pursue a $150 traffic case. It becomes your word against the officer’s before a judge or jury of your peers who all most likely have cell phones…that they have used while driving.

Whose that Knocking At My Window?

The Other Consequences of TWD

The significance of this new law is how it affects other laws. For instance, if a driver causes an accident due to texting which results in another’s death, violation of this law could persuade the prosecutor to pursue vehicular homicide charges.

Additionally, law enforcement now have another legitimate reason to stop your vehicle. Georgia law requires officers to state a reasonable articulable suspicion for stopping a driver in a motor vehicle. If the officer fails to do so, then even DUI or drug trafficking charges may be dismissed. In this case it doesn’t matter if you were texting or actually talking on the phone because Georgia law does not require that the officer’s stated reason is correct. So even if the officer mistakenly thought you were texting while driving he would still be able to articulate a valid reason for the stop.

Killing Two Birds with One Stone

How will this new law affect the multi-tasker, the person who tries to do more than one thing at the same time? Colloquially it is called, “Killing two birds with one stone.” Especially when faced with a 30 minute commute in Atlanta’s traffic, a driver has prime opportunity to return calls and messages prior to arriving to his destination.

Due to questionable enforcement procedures, we do not know what effect this new law will have on drivers. However, we do know that distracted driving is not the safest way to drive. The National Safety Council, a non-profit agency, estimates that nearly 30 percent of crashes—or 1.6 million annually—are caused by drivers talking or texting on cell phones.

So whether Georgia’s new law causes a slight snicker to escape or you to follow Oprah’s mantra “No Phone in the Car”, it is a personal choice. Regardless of the effect of the new law, let’s hope it brings awareness to Georgia drivers that safety is first.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mothers Day to all females, you are a mother rather you have a kid or not you are a mother figure to every male or man (father figure) you come across and if you carried yourself as mother figure, men would see you as "Their Mother" and approach you as such when they want your time! Such as:

"How are you doing, what can I do to be a better man worth your time,  to be able to get a moment of your time"

"I love you mom"

My life, good or bad I would not change a thing, it made me the man (father) that I am today.

It can not be me, is it me…

It can not be me, is it me…

Confusion manifest itself in lack of knowledge, feeling that we are one and know each other well since we know thyself, It can not be me is like saying it can not be her which means it can not be… so is it me...

No I do not always feel that I have a fair shot since our relationship has so many rules and other guidelines that others did not have to follow so I am doing the best that I can with limited resources so it can not be me. However, not saying this is what happen but if, I was told about my lack of resources and agreed, making it legally binding and make it me…Thinking, is it me...

Please, I do for her soul, it pleases my soul, and at times I may have slipped not discrediting stories from others untold. You know, questions from people all in our business. Listen, others did not have to. And she hid not their love and affection, out in the open their love and affection. You know what, thinking, if it was brought up by me to be more professional and out of the limelight, with our love life and we both agreed means I being so in love, spoke very much prematurely, of this unspoken love which was causing the joy I have in my heart about bust, bust, bust!... That is good right; or maybe injured her trust, thinking she was ashamed of me and did not celebrate me… Wrong was me, is it me...

You know it can not be me, I only love her but when we speak it later escapes me since I feel like I am struggling for a position with her. No no no, it is not like she does not let me know my position and I hear it all of the time but surround my positions are things others before me where missing and now my lips she is kissing so why do she not let the world know of me? Tell me, I am listening as I ask thee, knowing divine direction, is it me…
Now I see,
Nothing done in malice, now I truly see I was careless, thinking of the goodness of me, blinded me. Intentions are not always to be mentioned when the out- comes in non-agreed dimensions. It could be me, if I went against her trust to extend my so call good intentions. Now I just want her to oversee the flaws in me, as stepping stones to better me and for her to realize that I realize; I now see, it is me...

Do she believe in me, is she ashamed of me, where do I go...

Do she believe in me, strong back, upright walk, commanding voice, age never mattered, I was breed to be a man. Is she ashamed of me, best keep secret, seem to belittle me, said to be the best she ever had, well why do I feel sad?

Does she believe in me? I would love her, protect her against man’s evil, embrace her with GOD’s Grace, appreciate her curves but always look her in her face, so beautiful. Is she ashamed of me, do I walk funny, not look good enough, I mean I know I do not always dress on the fly but I think I dress, good… E….nough.

Do she believe in me, Like the president secret service agent I would take the bullet, jump in front of her eyes opened so I can face the bullet. Ashamed is she, maybe I do not hold her enough, do not display my feelings, on my shoulders enough.

Believe in me, does she? Know my heart over the words that my mouth is speaking, overstand my words, through the confusion of nerves. Feel safe with me when nightmares invade her dreams, Eve I am right here, I am not going nowhere, as softer breathing replacing your screams. Yet ashamed you seems.

Well, do she? Believe that I am a man first, a boy never, just young in love but mature clever. Ashamed she should never, I celebrate her, she should celebrate me, but I fear for whatever reason, she is ashamed of me.

Believe in me…
Where do I go from here...
