Joel Anthony Girtman Jr Academics/ Athlete of the year "2010"

     One thing that keeps me so excited bout working with kids is the exact same thing that gets me excited about being a father. I love being a positive influence on kids lives and being able to say "GOD allowed me to be able to influence this kid or that kid".
     Then came JOEL, JOEL Anthony Girtman Jr. This 9 year old works so hard to get all that is due to him. He listens, which leads to a coachable athlete. He is respectible, any organization would be honored to have him representing them. He does not talk back and will give you a strong effort whenever given instructions.
True, I did have the pleasure to work with Joel. However, with all of my time mentoring I cannot take credit for his up bringing. I want to say I corrected his way of thinking, I want to say I made him respectible and mentored him into the young man that he is and the positive influence on society that I know he will grow to be but I cannot. These credits within Joel Anthony Girtman Jr.'s life have already been spoken for by his father. Men like Joel Girtman Sr. make my job easier and a blessing to see that I am not alone in the struggle to change the world one child at a time.
     What made me start working with our youth is a thought that I had "I cannot change the world but I can influence the lives that are around me (old and young)" However with our youth, to influence them ultimately you will be changing the world. Joel Girtman Sr. has applied this to his household, perfected it, and then implimented it within his community as well.
